cocaine. Mexican authorities say he is a kidnapper, torturer and murderer
- as well as a major trafficker of marijuana and cocaine.

Cardenal denuncia conspiración contra su candidatura a Nobel
El sacerdote y poeta nicaragüense Ernesto Cardenal denunció el miércoles que el presidente Daniel Ortega y su esposa Rosario Murillo "han decidido parar" una iniciativa de varias personalidades que lo han propuesto para el Premio Nobel de Literatura.
Cardenal declaró por escrito que tiene información de que la pareja presidencial "se han alarmado" por su promoción "por considerar que soy adversario" y "han decidido... lanzar una campaña de desprestigio contra mí, tanto nacional como internacionalmente, por todos los medios a su alcance".
"En caso de ser así, yo estoy indefenso... y lo único que puedo hacer es anunciarlo antes de que suceda", afirmó.
Agregó que Ortega y Murillo poseen medios que pueden lanzar en contra suya, como "la presentación de falsas evidencias y falsos testigos y falsas pruebas", porque controlan las cortes de justicia".
"Ante esta impotencia en que me encuentro no puedo sino decirle a Dios como en el Salmo: Sin motivo me pusieron una trampa, hicieron un hoyo para que cayera en él; que caigan en su propia trampa".
En uno de sus más recientes libros, "La revolución Perdida", Cardenal lamenta la "piñata sandinista" de 1990 por medio de la cual muchos líderes sandinistas se apropiaron de numerosas y cuantiosas propiedades luego de la derrota electoral de ese año.
En el mismo texto critica que algunos de los antiguos guerrilleros comandantes de la revolución del 19 de julio de 1979 se han convertido en millonarios.
También acusa a Murillo, secretaria de Comunicación y Ciudadanía del gobierno a quien llama "una intelectual de mediamos méritos", de "haber acabado" con el Ministerio de Cultura que el dirigió en los años 80.
Cardenal, autor de poemas como "El Canto Cósmico" y su conocida "Oración por Marylin Monroe", fue prácticamente el embajador sandinista en todo el mundo durante los años previos a la revolución.
